Do I need to choose my chain before my appointment?

No, you’re welcome to explore the collection and choose everything during your appointment. If you’ve spotted a particular chain or charm in our catalogue, contact us beforehand and we’ll confirm its availability or reserve it for your visit.

Does Permanent Jewellery Hurt?

Not at all. The process is quick, safe and painless. We use a precision micro-welder and place a protective barrier between your skin and the jewellery. You may see a tiny flash as the connecting ring is closed, but you won’t feel the weld.

How much does permanent jewellery cost?

Prices vary depending on the chain, material and any charms you choose. Permanent bracelets start from £42, with options available in sterling silver, gold filled, solid gold and our waterproof Lifetime Collection. You can explore our current styles and prices in the jewellery catalogue before your appointment.

How long does an appointment take?

Most appointments take approximately 15-20 minutes per person. This gives you time to explore the collection, choose your chain and charms, and have your jewellery fitted and seamlessly welded. Please allow a little longer when booking as a group.

Is permanent jewellery waterproof?

This depends on the material you choose. Solid gold, gold filled and our waterproof Lifetime Collection can be worn while showering, swimming and exercising. Sterling silver jewellery are also suitable for everyday wear, but may require occasional cleaning and a little extra care to keep them looking their best. We’ll explain the care requirements for your chosen chain during your appointment.

Can permanent jewellery be removed?

Yes. Despite the name, permanent jewellery can be removed whenever needed. Simply cut through the small connecting ring using scissors or nail clippers, taking care not to cut the chain itself. Keep your jewellery somewhere safe, as we may be able to reweld it for you later.

Can we book permanent friendship bracelets together?

Absolutely! Choosing your jewellery together is all part of the experience. Book for two and enjoy 10% off your permanent bracelets. All appointments must take place at the same time for the group discount to apply.

Can I order a bracelet with a clasp?

Yes. If permanent jewellery isn’t suitable for you, we may be able to create a custom-fitted bracelet with a clasp instead. Contact us with the chain and style you have in mind, and we’ll confirm the available options.

Where is the WELD studio?

Our private jewellery studio is located in the centre of Poulton-le-Fylde, Lancashire. We’re within easy reach of Blackpool, Lytham St Annes, Preston and the wider North West, with Poulton-le-Fylde railway station just a short walk away. Full directions and arrival information will be included in your booking confirmation.
